International Society of Family Law Conference 2026
The conference will take place on-site only and will bring together an international and interdisciplinary community of family law scholars and professionals.
This year’s World Conference coincides with the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Turkish Civil Code, a defining moment in the modernization of Turkish family law and the legal recognition of women’s rights.
Call for papers is currently open, and the deadline for submissions has been extended to February 23, 2026. Proposals for individual presentations and panel discussions are welcome. More information on the proposal format, and the submission form can be found here.
The ISFL believes that insights arising from research should be used to inform discussion and the quest for improvements in family law and its implementation. It provides an international forum for discussion and analysis of legal policy applied to family relationships. Its most high-profile activities are organizing world and regional conferences and production of professional publications, including The International Survey of Family Law.
